Every permit a coastal or marine project needs, with the agency, the law behind it, and the official form.

For anyone planning work on the coast or in the water: a marina that needs dredging, a community pier, a living shoreline, an oyster farm, or research buoys in an estuary. Describe it, answer a few questions, and track every permit to approval.

  • Every permit, with its sourceThe agency that issues it, the law behind it with a link to the source, and the official form.
  • Permits within permitsA permit handled through another one is shown under it.
  • Export and shareExport the permit package, save it as a project, and share it with your team.
  • Track to approvalMove each permit from not started to approved, in one place.

How it works

Four steps

Describe the project, answer the few questions that change the answer, and get the full list of permits, each with its agency, its law and its form. Then export the package and track each permit to approval.

Every result links to its source, and the Pipeline asks you to confirm requirements with the issuing agency before you apply.

The four steps, with the Pipeline’s own example: a marina basin dredged and the spoil trucked upland. How the Permitting Pipeline works, in four steps. First, describe the project in your own words, for example a marina basin to be dredged with the spoil trucked upland. Second, answer a few questions that change the answer, such as where the material goes and whether federal money is involved. Third, get the permit list: each permit with its issuing agency, the law behind it and the official form, and the permits handled through another one shown under it, for example a Section 10 permit, a Section 404 permit and a 401 water quality certification handled through a CAMA major permit. Every permit links to its source. Fourth, export the permit package, share it with your team, and track each permit from not started through in progress and submitted to approved.
